Winter Wonderland...

It's been a seriously Hellified couple weeks around here. Dan and I were saved by our mainman Matty Langdale who got us to 30th Street Station so we could pick up Amtrak to NYC. We got there pretty smoothly from there but what a nightmare that snow was. Great times and it was good to see how many people made it out to the gig.

If that wasn't enough we had another 18 inches of snow yesterday. So, M-Room shut the doors and we lost our second show of the season due to blizzard conditions. Can't fight Mother Nature. However, I'm not sure why she's fighting us. I dare not ask. She is vengeful and powerful.

Well, with that said, we have a lofty goal of getting five songs recorded in the next couple of months. We want to release an 8 song disk including the 3 that we have available right now. We are going to work our asses off and get these down. Stick with us. It's only going to get better. That I promise. We should have some new media up on the site as we keep the recording process going. So please keep spreading the word. We love the support we are getting. Just know that we are not stagnating. We are going to put something out there soon that we hope will make you say, "God Damn!" Please leave us notes and suggestions and comments and whatever else you can think of. Thanks again

BBS Back in the Studio...

Just spent a long night in the studio last night, starting a new song. We got the rhythm tracks down for a song called "The Hands (Holding Your Arm)". We pretty much decided that we will be moving forward with a full-length album at this point. It has become pretty obvious that in order to get to a level where we will be taken seriously, we will need to have this under our belts. Definitely keep posted for clips from the studio and teasers highlighting our progress. We need all the support we can get at this point and would love to see you guys out at some of our shows. In the meantime, we will be holed-up at Underhouse Studios with the recording wizardry of Dave Park.

New Videos Posted in the Video Section

Whoa, two blogs in one day!  This one comes from our A/V department (aka Will sitting in his room, staring @ the computer screen for hours at a time).

We've got new videos in the Video Section!  Check them out and let us know what you think!  We're gonna have a lot more coming online over the next few weeks, so be sure to check back! - W.M.

Update from Paul...

It's been a strange few weeks of ups and downs. Suffice it to say that some people are amazing in a good way and others, just the opposite. I won't bore you with any details but the bottom line is that we have changed our focus back to the studio for the next month or so. We still have a couple of really exciting shows coming up... The Blockley on Thanksgiving Eve and Puck in Doylestown on December 19th. We just made our first jaunt out of town to NYC last week at the Alphabet Lounge. Pretty cool place! There should be video of that gig up shortly.

So back to the studio. We are looking to get a few new songs under our belt by early January. We've learned a lot having played all those gigs in the last few months so I expect these new ones to be interesting to record. We just need to figure out which ones we are going to do. Thanks to everyone who has kept up with us. Please come out and support us at some of our shows. And, again, spread the word! - P.M.

Update from the road...

We’ve been having a pretty good run lately. We played at The Blockley (Philly), Mojo 13 (Wilmington), and Pub Webb (Temple U). The live show is starting to tighten up and we are gaining a confidence to take things in different directions. Our EP is now available at our shows (thanks Dave and Sarah for all your help).

Just recently we started booking with an agent and within two weeks we already are starting to see confirmed gigs. Definitely keep your eyes open. There will be a lot of shows popping up over the next few weeks. We’d love to see you out. Hopefully we will get back to recording in November. We plan on having a new tune up around Christmas.

New Single, New Shows, Update on EP...

As you can all see, there is now a third song available, "All Away". Of the 3 that we have done so far, this one was the easiest to record. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a nightmare. It needs to have a certain feel in order to sound "right". We have been getting it live but that's a whole different animal than recording. And frankly I think it's our best yet! Hope y'all enjoy.

As you can see we have started booking lots of shows. We are hoping to establish a strong presence in the area. We have some great leads for some opening slots, and you guys will be the first to know if we get the opportunity. We are going to hold off recording for a bit so we can work on our live show. We want to blow people away. Recording takes up a lot of time and unfortunately, it's the live show that gets put on the back-burner when we record. We just sent the three songs that we recorded off to be mastered and we are having a short run of disks printed. Not sure if we'll have them available for the show at The Blockley on September 30th but we are trying to do everything in our power to make that happen. We are excited to have them mastered and can't wait to hear what they sound like when they are done. Thanks for supporting us and we'll see you at the shows.

Studio Update

Song three, "All Away," is in the bank! We finished recording it last night. Next stop... Mixing. It only took two nights of recording. I think that's to make up for the amount of time we spent on "When It Dies." However, I'll try not to jinx the mixing process. There is something that grabs you and sits you down with this song. Almost like it has something to tell you and you better be seated to hear it. With other good news, we have booked several shows coming up over the Fall. Cheers to Will for making it happen! We will keep you guys posted as things get solidified with the venues. Thanks again for sticking with us. On that note, I think I'll go to Wyoming for a few days... "Darling... Which way is Wyoming?" - Paul Miller

New in the Studio...

Started work on song #3 last night, "All Away". In keeping with the theme, this one is very different from the other two songs. We got a great jump on it and finished the drums, bass, rhythm electric and an acoustic track last night. We laid down some vocals as well but it was getting late and it was hard to tell what sounded right. Either way, this one has got a great vibe. It's a chill tune but it has a real flow. Again, we hope to get this one up a lot quicker than the last one. So far the process is going much smoother than "When It Dies". See y'all in a bit.

New Single, "When It Dies" FREE Download

Holy Hell! "When It Dies" is finally done and it took us all 12 rounds to knock it out. We learned a lot about our approach with this process and it should help things move much more smoothly (that is until we have more revelations about things we don't know about). This tune had a complete facelift last week due to some poor judgment on guitar tone. I blame everyone except myself, of course. The result is both pleasing to the mind and ear (huh?). We hope you dig it and feel free to leave us comments and thoughts on it. Also, make sure you are at the Tritone on August 15th for Buddhafest 34. We go on at 10ish but anyone who was there last time knows you will certainly be entertained the entire night so check it out and we'll see you there. - PM

Update on Recording

Well we apologize. We thought that the new tune "When It Dies" would be finished and posted by now but obviously it is not. Mixing this one has been a bit of an effort. You'll understand once you hear the end of the song but there is a lot going on and we are just trying to make sure it flows smoothly. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. In the meantime we have 4 new tunes that we have been rehearsing. They are coming together and we hope to play two or three or four of them at the show we have coming up on August 15th at the Tritone for Buddhafest 34. Check out www.sssounds.com for the lineup and schedule for Buddhafest We go on at 10PM). I hope I'm not out of line here but I am predicting that "When It Dies" will be up by the end of next week. There's a bit of work to do on that number but it's maddeningly close to being complete. All of us agree that we're ready to put this baby to bed and start on song #3, which is titled "...As Hell". Keep checking in and tell a friend or three. Thanks for your patience.  - PM
